A fashion designer says her new line is inspired by her father and her grandfather.
Kelsey Denny, 26, was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but grew up in the suburbs of Detroit.
She says the idea for her new collection came from her father.
Denny is a graduate of The Art Institute of Chicago and graduated from The Art Center College of Design in 2015.
She studied at the Institute of Modern Art, where she worked on her first piece.
In addition to her father, Denny says her inspiration is her grandfather, who also grew up around Detroit.
Dennys grandfather died when she was 5 years old, Dennys mother passed away when she got married at 19.
The Dennises say they are inspired by his passion for art, especially his interest in architecture.
“My father was always an artist, he was a very important part of my life.
I have a lot of the same interests and the same passion,” Denny told ABC News.
Dennis said the design process started off with a simple concept, like the logo for the new collection.
“The first thing I did was I took a picture of a piece of art, a piece I would like to create a custom-made piece of jewelry, a watch or a necklace.
And I just put it on my website,” she said.
“And then I went back and re-created the piece and I started working on it.
So I had a couple of different iterations, and then I was like, ‘Hey, I want to put a logo on this piece of clothing.’
So I put the logo on the fabric and then added a little design that would go along with the fabric, and that’s how I got the design on the clothes.”
Denny says the logo is a little like a flower.
It’s the shape of a flower, and the lettering is a flower that says “Fashion.”
The collection will be available on the Denny website.
Denna said the collection will have a “family feel.”
“It’s very personal, it’s very real,” she told ABC.
“It’s something that I’m going to wear for the rest of my adult life, so it will be like a family piece, not something that will just be for myself.”ABC News’ John Bunch contributed to this report.
