A new memoir by Shakira, the pop star who has been making headlines for years over allegations of sexual misconduct, is due to be released on May 31.
She has previously described the book as “the truth” about her life.
A spokesperson for Shakira told Polygon the book will be a “new beginning” for the artist.
“Shakira has been speaking out on her experiences and concerns about sexual harassment for more than a decade now, and she’s decided that she wants to tell a different story in her new book, The Art of Changes,” said the spokesperson.
“She believes this book will shed light on the issues surrounding the art of love, and provide a new beginning for the singer.”
“Shack up is not a word Shakira has ever used.
The book, which is being written by New York Times best-selling author and musician Paul Ryan, is expected to be a sequel to her 2012 memoir, I Love You, but with an updated, more inclusive narrative. “
We are thrilled that she has chosen to share her story with us, and are confident that it will resonate with many readers across the globe.”

“This new book will include a much broader range of topics than the first book, reflecting both her love for storytelling and her journey as a woman in the spotlight,” Ryan said in a statement.
“There is a lot of healing and change that is going to happen in the world, but this book is a powerful, accessible look into what that means, and the importance of taking responsibility for your actions.”
“We want to be clear: The Art Of Changes is not about what happened to Shakira,” Ryan continued.
“It is about what is happening in the wider world today.
It’s not for her to say. “
As I write this, I have no idea if Shakira will be speaking publicly on this book or not.
It’s not for her to say.
But I know that we are excited to see how this book unfolds.”
Shakira is due out on May 11.
She is currently the subject of a defamation lawsuit filed by a former student, who alleges she was sexually assaulted by the pop superstar while at the University of Southern California.
She was suspended by USC in 2012 for the first time.
She also sued a former co-worker and alleged that he raped her in an alley in 2007, which he denied.
The former student filed a defamation suit in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, accusing Shakira of defamation and false imprisonment.
The lawsuit is currently pending.
The Los Angeles Times reported last month that Shakira’s lawyer, James P. Sullivan, said the singer was considering a $5 million defamation lawsuit against the student.
“The allegations against Shakira are completely without merit, and will be vigorously prosecuted,” Sullivan said.
In response to the allegations, the rapper has repeatedly denied the allegations. “
These are very serious allegations that have been brought against her and we are currently investigating them thoroughly.”

“If there is any truth to the accusations against me, I will fight this all the way to the end,” Shakira wrote on Instagram.
“And I will not stop until I am free.”
